Future Me

I just discovered www.futureme.org.  It's a website that allows you to send an email to yourself on any date up to 50 years from now!  I sent one to myself three years from now and one on my 25th anniversary.

What would you write?  What dreams do you hope to achieve in that time?  Maybe you want to remind yourself of something.  What would you like to hear from yourself from the past?

Go ahead and send one!

Blessings!

Ruffle Apron Gift

This is my last post for a couple months.  We're packing out of our house this week and moving to Maui!  I've done my last sewing project and my sewing machine is unplugged.

We have a friend who is turning 9 and she's having her birthday this Saturday.  I decided to make her a ruffle apron.  Here is the tutorial.

I made the ruffles a little longer on this one because she's a tall girl and that way I didn't have any fabric leftover.

I embroidered her name on the back for that personal touch.

I put it together with a cookie mix, an egg beater and the Paige St. sign we found when we were in Colorado!

Have a blessed day!

The Case of the Missing Pajama Pants

My little one inherited this pajama shirt from her big sister but the pajama pants were MIA.  She really loved them and begged me to make some pants right away!

J is my picky one so when she asks me for something specific, I try to accommodate her.  I ran right out and found a thrifted XL t-shirt.  I couldn't find a purple t-shirt with nothing on it so I got black.  I used some of her other pajama pants as a pattern.

To make them match, I added in a felt kitty like the kitty on the shirt.

Voila!

She really loves them because they're super comfy!

These pants cost me about $3.00 since I had the elastic for the waistband and the felt for the kitty.  Have you thrifted anything lately?
